Vladimir Putin met with the corporate development advisor of Yandex (MOEX: YNDX) Alexey Kudrin before a deal to divide the company’s assets, said press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.
“We never talk about the internal kitchen. I can only confirm that Putin’s meetings with Kudrin actually took place,” Mr. Peskov said during a conference call, answering the question whether the president’s meeting with Alexei Kudrin played a “decisive role” in the Yandex deal.
Mr. Kudrin has been working at Yandex since December 2022. Prior to this, he served as Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of Russia from 2018 to 2022.
