Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decree, allowing 46 companies to independently determine the scope and composition of disclosed information about their activities. The list includes the state oil company Rosneft and several of its subsidiaries.
The document states that the right not to partially disclose information was granted to companies “due to the need to take immediate measures in response to unfriendly actions of the United States and its affiliated foreign states and international organizations that are contrary to international law.”
In addition to Rosneft and its subsidiaries, the decree of the head of state includes the oil companies Bashneft and Slavneft, as well as the All-Russian Regional Development Bank (RRDB), Peresvet Bank and the manufacturer of organic synthesis products Ufaorgsintez.
Business structures from the list approved by the president will be required to send a notification to the Central Bank containing information that they do not want to disclose. The decree signed by Vladimir Putin comes into force from the moment of its publication and applies to legal relations arising from July 1 of the current year.
