Tagansky District Court of Moscow registered protocols against Apple, TikTok and Wikimedia for refusing to remove prohibited information (Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). Companies face fines of up to 4 million rubles, the court’s press service told the agency “RIA News”.
The protocols arrived in court a few days ago. On October 30 and November 1, judge Nadezhda Kiseleva registered them. Two protocols have been registered against the Wikimedia Foundation, which owns the Wikipedia website, and one against Apple and TikTok. A hearing date for the cases has not yet been set.
In August, Apple, TikTok and Wikimedia already received fines under this article. The reason was the failure to remove podcasts and articles about military operations on the territory of Ukraine, as well as four videos demonstrating LGBT content.
