The design and estimate documentation for the construction of a number of railway facilities as part of the development of the Trans-Siberian Railway included unreasonable costs in the amount of 98.5 million rubles. The department explained that the cost estimate for the construction and reconstruction of infrastructure facilities on the East Siberian Railway as part of investment programs for the development of the Trans-Siberian Railway unreasonably included the costs of the removal and disposal of waste of seized crushed stone ballast suitable for reuse at the landfill.

“The head of the design organization was submitted a proposal to eliminate violations of the law, based on the results of the consideration of which a corresponding adjustment of the documentation was made, unreasonable costs in the amount of 98.5 million rubles were excluded,” the report says.
