Alexander Prokhanov, speaking on March 16 in Moscow, unexpectedly spoke about a mystical phenomenon that allegedly happened to him on the Oka River.
“A lot of urban people, intellectuals, went to the North in search of the disappeared Russian history and culture,” Prokhanov told the background of this mysterious event, telling about the spiritual searches of Soviet citizens during the stagnation.

– On the banks of the Oka, I ran into an Angel. This column of fire lifted me up and showed me beyond the world. These are inhabited worlds, they had entities, they moved, they had their own destiny. Later, these entities began to open up to me. This ascension lasted a second – and I returned to earth.
Despite his venerable age, at the meeting in honor of the 85th anniversary, Alexander Prokhanov did not look tired or exalted. Apparently, such otherworldly pictures are really part of his philosophy, and, possibly, a real biography.
