American computer and equipment manufacturer Hewlett-Packard (HP) has closed its Russian website. When trying to log in, users are automatically taken to its Kazakh version, the portal noted Cnews.
The company suspended supplies to Russia in February 2022, and in November 2023 it began liquidating its Russian subsidiary. HP planned to finally complete its operations in May 2024, but due to the shutdown of the site, the process was completed ahead of schedule.
In April 2022, the Russian authorities added HP equipment to the list of goods allowed for parallel imports. At the end of the same year, Kommersant wrote that the Ministry of Industry and Trade was considering the possibility of limiting the supply of products from more than 20 foreign brands, including HP, to develop the production of domestic analogues.
