Prigozhin explained why his daughter got a job in a taxi: “We are not seven-wire”

The producer admitted that he can no longer work for all six children

The daughter of Joseph Prigozhin, 26-year-old Danaya, recently surprised subscribers when she reported on a TV show about what was happening in her family. It turned out that despite her husband’s earnings, Danae also wants to work. And this despite the fact that last year the girl became a mother. As a result, she got a job… as a taxi driver. According to her, she earns from one hundred thousand rubles a month. Of course, after such news the public began to whisper: “What about star father Joseph Prigogine? Can he provide all possible financial assistance?”

We turned to Prigozhin himself for comments. It turned out that he learned about his daughter’s work in a taxi service… from journalists.

— I have a normal attitude towards any labor-intensive professions. If she made such a choice, it is her choice. All professions are important, all professions are needed: who studied for whom. Well, she likes working in a taxi, well, good: romance,” says Prigozhin. “I didn’t know about her doing this business.” When a girl gets married, gives birth to a child, and has her own family, I don’t keep track of what she does unless she informs me herself. I only know about those children who share with me. We didn’t discuss this with her. In general, lately I’ve been learning everything about Danae from journalists.

— There is already talk on the Internet – they say, why does the famous producer Prigozhin have a daughter who works as a taxi driver, but where is the father’s help?

– If a person turns to me for help, I will help him. But in general, I cannot understand: why should adult children turn to their parents for financial help? The tasks of parents are to give their children guidelines in life. We gave children education, and now this is their adult life. When a person leaves home and lives alone on his own, even if his father is a millionaire, this does not mean that he owes him anything. Our children have a desire to learn to live independently outside the parental nest. Danae does not live with us, she lives her own life, which I don’t know about and which I sometimes find out about on social networks or read in newspapers. We need to help the sick and disabled, but not children who need to earn money when they reach adulthood.

Of course, it happens that something doesn’t work out for someone and someone really needs help. But I should know about this not from newspapers and magazines, but from personal communication. In our family, everyone works, and I don’t get involved in the children’s affairs if they don’t tell me about it, because then you meddle in someone else’s life. Children are given to you for temporary use. After a certain period ends, they are, of course, still your children, but no longer yours. Danae is 26 years old, well, she’s not a child anymore.

– As I understand it, you didn’t sit on your parents’ necks yourself?

— I came to Moscow at the age of 16, and have been working since I was 12 years old. I earned my own bread here; at 16, I didn’t consider myself a child. I earned as much as I could: and unloaded the cars, if necessary. I’m not ashamed of this, because I had to live somehow, get around. I needed to get an education, my parents had no way to help me in this sense. As a rule, dependent children who are always under the care of their parents, with rare exceptions, do not grow up to be decent people. I myself am for family dynasty. I think it’s right that the children of directors should also be directors, because they live in this environment. But in order for a person to understand the taste of life, he needs to face difficulties and try everything. Then his profitability will be much more valuable than when his parents reproduce it. I have been living with Valeria for 21 years, we have six children between us. Should Valeria and I work for everyone? Of course not.

Besides, we are not seven-wire to work for someone else. We need to work for ourselves so that we have some kind of freedom. Next year I will be 55 years old, and I run and run as a boy, so I break down and get sick. We need to raise children to be hard-working. It doesn’t matter whether the child sweeps the floors or works as a professor. It seems to me that now technical professions are generally in short supply. Everyone wants to be a lawyer, but you can make money by being an electrician.
