Gazprom (MOEX: GAZP) reported in Telegram, that from March 24 to April 1, scheduled maintenance work will be carried out on the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. Gas transportation will be suspended, the company added.
Gazprom clarified that maintenance of Power of Siberia equipment and systems is carried out in spring and autumn. It is noted that such conditions are written in the gas purchase and sale agreement between Gazprom and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC).
“Power of Siberia” is a Russian main gas pipeline for gas supplies from Yakutia to the Primorsky Territory and countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The gas pipeline is a joint project of Gazprom and CNPC.
On March 21, Gazprom announced the start of construction of the Belogorsk-Khabarovsk gas pipeline, which is designed to connect the gas fields of Eastern Siberia with the gas pipeline system of the Far East. The length of the new section will be more than 800 km.
