Positive Group is creating a lending mechanism in the field of information security

PJSC Positive Group (MOEX: POSI; the parent company of the Positive Technologies group) in collaboration with a number of Russian banks, including Sberbank, Rosbank and Alfa Bank, is working on a mechanism for lending to large projects in the field of information security. The company’s press service reported this to Interfax.

“Positive Technologies, in cooperation with the largest financial institutions, is developing the concept of targeted preferential lending for companies aimed at building large infrastructure projects using Positive Technologies technologies. The product being developed in the future will help accelerate the qualitative growth of security for domestic companies,” the company reported.

As Maxim Filippov, deputy general director of Positive Technologies, previously clarified at the Positive Security Day 2023 forum, we are talking about projects costing from 100 million rubles, which will be aimed at building effective cybersecurity for the customer.

“There were a number of projects where the customer relied on subsidies from the state and at the last moment these subsidies were denied to him, and the developments for such projects were made global. Then we thought: why not? We came to a number of banks with our proposal, and they were interested in it,” Mr. Filippov said at a conference in early October.

As part of their initiative, Positive Technologies and the company’s premium partners, through whom the project lending program will become available, will compensate payments on loans provided for the implementation of the project through discounts. “Priority will be given to projects that involve building effective cybersecurity,” said Mr. Filippov.
