Lyudmila Porgina spoke about another scandal in Lenkom. Karachentsov’s widow said that after a scuffle with theater director Mark Varshaver, she became ill and had to call an ambulance. According to Porgina, she still cannot get away from what happened.

Mark Warsawer kept silent all this time. And only for “MK” he made an exception and for the first time spoke about the unpleasant situation in which he found himself.

“She came to my office,” Warsawer explains. The secretary informed me of her arrival. I replied that I didn’t want to talk to her. She is a person who does not like her theater. Porgina says that theater is her family! But how can a family do all sorts of nasty things? Therefore, I did not accept it. But he asked his deputy to talk to her to find out what she wants.

– Then I went around the theater, – continues Mark Borisovich. – Suddenly she runs up to me: “You put me in the crowd! You put me in the crowd!”. I was not alone, there were people around. He calmly answered her: “This is not an extra, but work in the theater. You are obliged to fulfill it for the salary you receive!

“In response, she began to carry this: I can’t tell you,” the director of Lenkom sighs. She is a special person. This is not even discussed: everything is already completely clear. But I, unfortunately, cannot part with her, because she is on the staff.

“She hasn’t worked for thirty years, she hasn’t gone on stage, and at the same time she calls herself either a people’s artist, or a well-deserved one,” Mark Borisovich sighs. – Complains about lack of money. I wanted to help her, I gave her eight extras. She participates in 8 performances! Can you imagine what a joy it is for a person who can go on stage?! But she doesn’t like it: just give her the main roles, since she considers herself a great artist. Although, I repeat, she has not appeared on stage for more than 30 years … – She says: “I was the Mother of God in Juno and Avos! And after such a role, I’m in the crowd?” Varshaver smiles. – She also participated in the extras in Juno and Avos: she carried the doll for many years. Her role lasted about three minutes. That’s all her merit in our theater. Honestly, I’ll tell you, I don’t even want to talk about this subject. She has spoiled a lot in the life of our theater lately. All actors understand this. But what to do? Unfortunately, we can’t do anything about it.
