The majority of Polymetal shareholders at the general meeting voted for the re-registration of the company from the British island of Jersey to the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) in Kazakhstan. The redomiciliation was approved by 91.78% of the shareholders, follows from the company’s message published on the website of the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

May 10 Board of Directors of Polymetal offered shareholders to approve the re-registration of the company in the AIFC. “The Board of Directors and management have explored all possible options for maintaining the listing and trading on the LSE, none of these options turned out to be available at the moment or viable in the long term,” the company’s press service said at the time.

In the first quarter of this year, Polymetal’s revenue grew by 19% to $733 million. This was due to the stabilization of distribution channels and the reduction of inventories in the face of high gold prices. The company’s net debt amounted to $2.428 billion, remaining at the level of the first quarter of 2022.
