Polymetal completes delisting from the London Stock Exchange – Kommersant

Polymetal has completed the process of delisting from the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and after the transfer of all assets to the jurisdiction of Kazakhstan, reported company press office. In August, Polymetal moved from the jurisdiction of British Jersey to the capital of Kazakhstan.
After redomilation Polymetal shares no longer meet the requirements of the London Stock Exchange. Trading on the LSE ended on August 1 and resumed on the Astana International Exchange (AIX) on August 10.
In October 2022, the head of the company, Vitaly Nesis, told the newspaper Financial Times about moving to a new country and starting the division of assets. So, according to Polymetal stated on July 19, 2022 that the main objective of this transaction is to “restore the company’s shareholder value.”
At the time of the re-registration of the company, trading in Polymetal shares suspended and on the Moscow Exchange. August 9 Mr. Nesis assumedthat trading will resume before the end of the month.
In March, Kommersant wrote that due to the consequences of the sanctions, Polymetal was looking for options for separating assets. One of them is selling to a third party, but for this you need to change the region.
