Russian writer, playwright and prose writer Nina Sadur died at the age of 73 after a long illness. Her daughter Ekaterina Sadur reported this to the TASS agency.
“Today at 11:40 Moscow time my mother went to be with the Lord,” said Ekaterina Sadur. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 15th. The funeral date has not yet been determined.
Nina Sadur was born in Novosibirsk in the family of front-line poet Nikolai Perevalov and Russian language and literature teacher Victoria Kolesnikova. She began writing at the end of the 1970s, her first publication was in the magazine “Siberian Lights”.
Graduated from the Literary Institute named after. A. M. Gorky, where she studied in the seminar of Viktor Rozov. At the beginning of her creative career, to earn a living, she washed floors in the capital’s theater. Fame came to her after her first collection of plays, “The Wonderful Woman,” which was published in 1989. In the same year, she was accepted into the USSR Writers’ Union.
