Pink Floyd’s “golden line-up” cannot sell their songs due to disagreements over Ukraine, writes the Financial Times.
The group currently features David Gilmour and Nick Mason, while Roger Waters, considered the inspiration and main creator of Pink Floyd’s success in the 1970s, performs solo. Previously, Waters has repeatedly criticized Kyiv and the West, and also spoke out in support of Russia.
Pink Floyd’s catalog of songs was reportedly auctioned back in May, with Blackstone, Sony Music and Warner Music showing interest, and the sale could be as high as $500 million.
In March, Pink Floyd announced that its recordings since 1987 were being removed from music platforms in Russia and Belarus. However, the most famous Pink Floyd albums of the 1970s are still available in both countries.
