PhosAgro announces five-fold increase in fertilizer exports to India in 2022

In 2022, Phosagro increased the supply of agrochemical products to India by five times, to other countries in Asia by two times, and to Africa by 25%. This was reported by the press service of “Phosagro” following the results of the meeting of shareholders.
As follows from the message of the company, the volume of deliveries to India amounted to 2.7 million tons, to Asian countries – 400 thousand tons, to African countries – 500 thousand tons. The press service noted that Phosagro is still the largest supplier of fertilizers in Africa.
“The Board of Directors of PJSC PhosAgro, one of the world’s leading producers of phosphorus-containing fertilizers, noted the growth of the company’s exports to the markets of developing countries while maintaining the unconditional priority of deliveries to the Russian market and maintaining its leading positions in it,” the press service said (quoted from TASS).
President of the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers (RAPU) Andrey Guryev said that in 2022, the export of fertilizers from Russia decreased by 15%, despite the absence of sanctions on their sale. According to the Financial Times, Russian fertilizer exporters’ revenues are up 70% in 2022 due to rising costs.
