After the Top Chef Academy, Philippe Etchebest launches, this time, a large ephemeral restaurant aimed at testing the creativity and responsiveness of the participants while meeting the various expectations of the customers of the day, ranging from dancers from the Moulin Rouge, to firefighters, through bikers, a large family or personalities (Jeremy Frerot, David Douillet and his wife, Gregory Cuilleronvarious miss FranceMathieu and Alexandre de “Love is in the meadow” or past winners of the show). The latter will impose a theme and then judge the achievements. Each time, the candidates must sublimate everyday dishes, such as offering a gourmet preparation only on the barbecue, bluffing the guests with a chocolate cake or making a plate based on seafood… without any waste! “What is interesting is that the participants have the feedback from the customersnotes Philippe Etchebest. We have their opinion on one side and mine on the other and, sometimes, we don’t agree! ».

Pierre Chomet of “Top Chef” in support

This year, the charismatic cook of M6 is accompanied by Pierre Chomet who had participated as a contestant in season 12 of “Top chef”. The latter is responsible for welcoming the candidates and guiding them during the tests. He is delighted and flattered to join the show: “I find it prestigious to support these young candidates who dare to enter the competition: I create a bond with them while reassuring them and adding good energy. I like the human and the exchange, and then I can put myself in their shoes… »explains the young man, who will soon open a restaurant in Paris with his wife.

Sixty participants (two thirds of apprentices and one third of amateurs) against 108 previously are part of this adventure. Each week, six of them compete and only one will qualify for the rest of the competition. During each event, Philippe Etchebest pushes them to their limits: “My goal is to take them as far as possible, to a level where they will be able to integrate “Top Chef”. But this program also goes beyond the culinary, it is a life experience”, he concludes. Last year, Pascal Barandoniwinner of season 7 of “Objectif Top Chef” had managed to reach the quarter-finals of the famous M6 culinary competition.
