There is no excitement and chaos in the situation with prices for oil products on the stock exchange, said Alexei Rybnikov, president of the St. Petersburg International Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (SPIMEX). Since the beginning of the year, the price of gasoline on the stock exchange has increased by more than 50%.
“I think the situation is under control. There is no chaos, no excitement – we do not see anything like that. The price situation is manageable. I think that we will cope with it, as usual, and get through this period, ”Mr. Rybnikov commented to journalists on the situation with prices (quote from TASS). He noted that there are no problems with providing the domestic market with fuel, and regulators are taking all necessary measures in terms of ensuring supply.
Earlier, the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the Ministry of Energy proposed to sell 1% of the established minimum standards for sales of gasoline and diesel fuel on the stock exchange under contracts on the futures market. Now companies are required to sell through the stock exchange 12% of the total volume of gasoline produced and 8.5% of diesel fuel.
Exchange cost of fuel continues grow due to lack of supply, as well as government plans to reduce the damper. Now oil companies are increasing oil refining in the face of seasonal demand for fuel.
