Peskov: the further career of the head of the abolished Rostourism Doguzova depends on her

The Kremlin highly appreciates the results of the work of Rostourism, decree the abolition of which was signed yesterday by Russian President Vladimir Putin, said his press secretary Dmitry Peskov. He noted that the work of the federal agency will continue as part of the Ministry of Economic Development. When asked about the further development of the career of the head of the abolished department, Zarina Doguzova, Mr. Peskov replied that it depended on her.
“In connection with the rather ambitious plans for the development of domestic tourism, in this case, the level of this work is increasing. That is, all the achievements, of course, will be preserved and will be developed already at a higher level – within the ministry,” said Mr. Peskov about the reorganization of the agency.
By yesterday’s presidential decree, Rostourism as an institution was abolished, and its functions were transferred to the Ministry of Economic Development. The agency existed since 2004, its dissolution bind with the struggle for additional powers and resources.
