Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on Denmark’s decision to stop investigating the Nord Stream explosions. According to him, during the investigation the Danish authorities “began to contact their closest allies.” He called the situation “close to absurd.”

As Mr. Peskov clarified, at the initial stages of the investigation, Russia repeatedly asked the Danes for information about what happened, but was refused and could not take part in the investigative actions. He noted that “on the one hand, there is an admission that there was deliberate sabotage, but on the other, there is no further progress.”

“Taking into account everything, various information leaks, a whole set of facts that became known during this investigation, it is obvious that everything is quite clear, and it is obvious that simply in the course of this investigation they began, as they say, to contact their closest allies,” – said a Kremlin representative during a press call.

Explosions at Nord Stream and the uncommissioned Nord Stream 2 occurred on September 26, 2022. Western media wrotethat the explosion was coordinated by the former commander of one of the units of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel Roman Chervinsky. February 7 Sweden announced, that it has not found any suspects and is stopping the investigation into Nord Stream. Today, February 26, a similar decision announced Denmark.

About the investigation of the explosions – in the material “Kommersant” “I am not me and the jurisdiction is not mine”.
