According to Darya Domostroyeva, price reduction has become one of the factors in stabilizing demand for vacations in Crimea, and now the region is in second place in terms of demand for spring, although it was previously an outsider. Sergey Romashkin estimates demand for Crimea for spring-summer at 65% of sales before the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine and restrictions on the operation of the Simferopol airport, while earlier the decline reached 50%.
He admits that interest in the peninsula will continue to grow and by the summer the gap will be reduced to 25%. “Last year, many tourists counted on the opening of the airport, but this year they have already decided that they will probably have to get there in other ways,” says Mr. Romashkin.
