People’s Artist of the USSR Yuri Solomin died at the age of 88. Information about this was confirmed by the Maly Theater, whose artistic director he had been since 1988.
It is known that on November 6, the actor was hospitalized with a stroke. From intensive care he was later transferred to a regular ward in the neurology department. The media wrote about his improvement in health, and two days ago the actor was discharged.
The artist’s cause of death has not yet been announced.
Solomin is a theater and film actor, a full holder of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland. He is known for his roles in the films and TV series “The Bat”, “Dersu Uzala”, “School Waltz”, “His Excellency’s Adjutant”, “TASS is authorized to declare…” and many others.
