People’s Artist of the RSFSR Ivan Romashko died at the age of 93, according to the website of the Novosibirsk Musical Theater.
The report says that during his creative career, Romashko played more than 100 roles.
“There is not a single classical operetta or musical comedy of the so-called “Soviet” period, wherever the artist shines,” the message says.
One of the most striking roles of Romashko was the role of Vasily Terkin in the comedy of the same name (1975). Other well-known productions with the participation of the actor are “Baby Riot” (1977), “Wedding in Malinovka” (1987), “Day of Wonderful Deceptions” (1989).
Romashko in 2000 Romashko was awarded the Order of Honor, in 2009 he became a laureate of the Golden Mask National Theater Award.
