The Mir payment system has launched the acceptance of Russian payment cards at POS terminals in Cuba, it is reported on website payment system. Currently, cards can be used to pay in Havana and Varadero; in the future, it is planned to expand their acceptance throughout Cuba.

The Mir payment system was created in 2014. According to data as of September 2022, cited by Interfax, Mir cards were accepted in ten countries, and by the end of the year – in eight. Now you can pay with cards in neighboring countries with the exception of Uzbekistan.
