The volume of shipments for the delivery of courier parcels and groupage cargo between Russia and the CIS countries in the period from March 25 to April 25 increased from 50 to 120% compared to the same period last year, depending on the direction. This follows from a review prepared by large logistics operators PEK, CDEK, Boxberry, Pony Express, Dalli and B2CPL (Vedomosti has it). In addition to Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) includes Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The review notes that in the specified period, on the eve of the May holidays of 2023, the volume of delivery by PEK between Russia and Belarus increased by 117% year-on-year, in Boxberry – by 46%, in Pony Express – by 120%. Cargo turnover with Kazakhstan for these companies increased by 109, 101 and 130%, respectively. Absolute figures are not reviewed. For this indicator, the measurement value was taken – a cubic meter of cargo per kilometer of track (cubic km).
