Online retailer Ozon has reached an agreement with the New Technology Company (NTK), founded by former Lukoil top manager Valery Subbotin, to lease 80,000 sq. m in the Moscow region logopark “PNK Park Zhukovsky”, about this informed “Kommersant” with reference to sources in the real estate market. According to the publication, initially these areas in Zhukovsky were intended for the Polish clothing retailer LPP (brands Reserved, Sinsay, Mohito, etc.), but after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, the company decided to refuse to rent a logo park in Zhukovsky.
According to Yegor Dorofeev, Head of the Warehouse and Industrial Real Estate Department of the Commonwealth Partnership (CMWP), the agreement between Ozon and NTC will be the largest transaction in the logistics real estate market this year. The source of the newspaper notes that the lease of a warehouse in Zhukovsky – at the other end of the Moscow region – was a necessary measure, since there are no proposals for renting logoparks with such a volume of free space on the market now.
On August 3, a fire broke out at one of the Ozon warehouses in the Istra district of the Moscow region. The damage from the fire was then estimated at about 10 billion rubles. The next day, firefighters put out the open fire at the company’s warehouse. 133 firefighters and 45 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
