The Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow satisfied the claim of the Tretyakov Gallery and allowed the transfer of paintings by Isaac Levitan and Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin to state ownership, which had no owners and were temporarily stored in the museum. Card posted in the database of the court.
73 paintings, 19 works of graphics and 3 pieces of sculpture were transferred to the possession of the Tretyakov Gallery. According to a representative of the Tretyakov Gallery TASS, these works have been in the museum in a temporary storage position since the times of the USSR. After 1991, the owners of these paintings did not come to the museum.
Under the terms of temporary storage, the museum does not have the right to restore works of art without the consent of the owners, while the condition of the paintings has deteriorated over time. In this regard, the museum appealed to the court to transfer the paintings to state ownership.
In addition to paintings by Isaac Levitan and Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, the state also received works by such artists as Andrey Kotsky, Vasily Rozhdestvensky, Viktor Shatalin, Andrey Kurnakov, Chara Khummedov, Meretdurda Annakuliev, Meretgeldy Akmamedov.
