Overdue debts of Russians on consumer loans reached a record in October

The volume of overdue consumer loans of Russian citizens in October increased by 0.3% and reached a record high of 631 billion rubles. The number of consumer loans issued in October in Russia reached a maximum since January of this year and amounted to 2.353 million. This follows from the data of the Scoring Bureau, cited by RIA Novosti.
At the same time, the share of consumer loans overdue by more than 90 days decreased by 0.1% to 4.032 million loans. According to the Scoring Bureau, such changes occurred against the backdrop of an increase in the loan portfolio of banks to a maximum. Thus, in October the number of open consumer loans increased by 1.4% to 34.3 million. At the same time, the volume of the portfolio grew by 1% to 7.4 trillion rubles.
The average size of a consumer loan fell by 30% to 159.1 thousand rubles. Thus, the volume of consumer loans issued in one month decreased by 23% compared to the level of September – to 374.6 billion rubles.
