The largest outdoor advertising operator, Russ Outdoor Group (83% owned by Stinn LLC), closed a deal to purchase 100% of Gallery, which is the second largest operator. This is evidenced by the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. Also information about the closing of the transaction “RIA Novosti” confirmed in the press service of the Russ Group of Companies.
“The deal with Gallery will allow us to continue our course towards the development of the outdoor advertising market. <...> Contrary to the opinion of some colleagues, a sharp change in prices is not included in our plans,” said Robert Mirzoyan, Executive Director of Russ Group.
The company noted that the united outdoor advertising operator will operate within a centralized business structure. Other details of the transaction, including its cost, were not disclosed. By data Vedomosti sources, Maer, the third largest outdoor advertising operator, also applied for the purchase of Gallery.
On June 30, FAS allowed Russ Outdoor to buy Gallery. The department considered that the deal would not lead to the dominant position of “Stinn” in the single advertising market.
The share of Gallery in the outdoor advertising market is 8%, and Russ Outdoor – 33%, follows from the data of the online booking system for outdoor advertising All-billboards.ru. Thus, the share of the united operator after the transaction will be 41%. The total revenue of outdoor advertising operators in 2022, according to All-billboards.ru, amounted to 63.9 billion rubles.
