One Russian city refused to cancel Orbakaite's concert

Vladivostok City Hall invited residents to decide for themselves the fate of Kristina Orbakaite’s concert

Vladivostok authorities commented on individual complaints on social networks in which users demanded the cancellation of the March concert in the city of singer Kristina Orbakaite. In particular, on the mayor’s page in the comments, a certain user called the artist a “traitor” and demanded that her performance be banned.

“The singer Kristina Orbakaite is not officially a foreign agent,” said the municipal control center. “Her creative repertoire complies with the law.”

City authorities also reminded that the artist’s concert is a private event and does not require government approval.

“The viewer makes his own choice whether to go to the concert or not,” the officials added, “using his constitutional right.”

Earlier it was reported that after some appeal from social activists, Orbakaite’s concert in

Ulan-Ude, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk and Bratsk.
