People’s Artist of the USSR Alla Pugacheva released a song called “I’m crying.” The release was published on the Yandex Music and VKontakte platforms. The composition was released on the eve of the singer’s birthday: she turns 75 on April 15.

“It was wrong to change the meaning of the words spoken; I cannot predict the very desire of the gods. Your love is thorns and roses, my love is laughter and tears, a dream on a windy night,” says the lyrics of the new song.

The words and music were written by singer and composer Leonid Agutin. The track was recorded five years ago, in 2018, for the 50th anniversary of Leonid Agutin, Voice magazine reports. However, the singer did not perform with him then due to illness.

The artist’s concert director Elena Chuprakova announced on Instagram (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) that another track by Alla Pugacheva will be released on April 15.

On March 1, Alla Pugacheva’s new album, called PS, was published. The collection includes 20 songs, mostly hits of past years. This album became the singer’s first release in 16 years.

After the start of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Alla Pugacheva’s husband Maxim Galkin gave a series of concerts in Israel, the proceeds of which he transferred to Ukrainian refugees. In September, the comedian was recognized as a foreign agent. After this, Alla Pugacheva published a post in which she criticized the fighting in Ukraine and asked to be given the status of a foreign agent, like her husband. In October of the same year, it became known that the singer’s songs were not played on the radio stations of the Russian Media Group. The company said that Alla Pugacheva does not have new songs “that would meet the current needs of the audience.”
