The Minister of Culture of Russia opened a revived museum in the republic
The Ministry of Culture of the DPR announced on Friday the opening of two restored cultural infrastructure facilities in a part of the republic relatively remote from the front line. We are talking about the Volnovakha Museum of Local Lore and the new Museum of Cinema and at the same time a cinema at the Miner’s College of Cinema and Television. Alexander Khanzhonkov.
According to the republican Ministry of Culture, residents of Volnovakha and its environs will be able to visit the exhibition “Faces of the Russian Icon”, consisting of reproductions of ancient Russian icons, in the coming days.
Volnovakha and Shakhtersk, according to information from several sources, were visited by the Minister of Culture of Russia. Director General of the Donetsk Philharmonic Oleksandr Paretsky noted that the visit was “without unnecessary informational noise and pathos, modestly and in a work-like way.”
Recall that since May 2014, Volnovakha has been under the power control of Kyiv, although it was originally part of the proclaimed DPR. It was possible to liberate the city only with the beginning of the SVO – in March 2022.
