Okhlobystin spoke about Smolyaninov’s desperate situation abroad

Actor Artur Smolyaninov (recognized as a foreign agent, included in the list of extremists and terrorists by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation) is in a desperate situation abroad, however. This was stated by his godfather, actor, director and former clergyman of the Russian Orthodox Church Ivan Okhlobystin in a conversation with the publication aif.ru.

Speaking about his godson, Okhlobystin noted that his words hurt, but despite this, he treats him with fatherly love.

“He is a forty-year-old man, there is no way to change him, but he is a good person, despite the fact that he periodically calls for me to be shot, hanged or imprisoned. This is his weakness – he says what is expected of him. He is in a desperate situation and no one abroad really needs him,” said Ivan Okhlobystin.

The actor also noted the “arrogance” of his godson. He stated that with such behavior he would soon become an undesirable person abroad.

“As long as he still maintains some decency, he is tolerated. They won’t tolerate him the way they tolerated him here,” Okhlobystin concluded.

Earlier, the Russian actor and director said that he feels bad for Alla Pugacheva. He also noted that many artists who left the country were of no value to Russian culture. As for the Prima Donna, he said that “I’m not ready to judge her, since her actions are incomprehensible to me.”
