NOVATEK established Murmansk LNG LLC to implement the project of the same name

Two subsidiaries of NOVATEK (MOEX: NVTK) – “NOVATEK-Tarkosaleneftegaz” and “NOVATEK-Moscow Region” – established a new company “Murmansk LNG”, it follows from data SPARK-Interfax system.
The main activity is the production of hydrocarbons and their derivatives. The CEO of the new company is Dmitry Anishchenko, who also runs NOVATEK’s subsidiary NOVATEK-Ust-Luga.
It is expected that the new company will participate in the construction of a new large-scale LNG project in the Murmansk region. Chairman of the Board of NOVATEK Leonid Mikhelson noted that Murmansk LNG will be supplied with gas from NOVATEK’s own raw material base in the south of the Gydan Peninsula. The LNG project includes three liquefaction trains with a capacity of 6.8 million tons each. According to the company’s plans, the first two lines of Murmansk LNG can be launched at the end of 2027, the third – at the end of 2029.
