The government has developed a number of proposals that will help stabilize the exchange prices for gasoline. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak.
“We have certain proposals. I recently (Wednesday. – Vedomosti) held a meeting (on the problems of the fuel market. – Vedomosti), instructed to work out some issues until Friday. We will discuss more on Friday. If there are any decisions, we will announce them,” he said (quote by Interfax).
According to Novak, in the near future, several oil refineries will be out of repair, which will increase the supply of fuel on the exchange. At the same time, he noted that a number of enterprises have postponed the dates of leaving for repairs to a later date.
Novak ruled out the introduction of a protective duty, noting that other options are being considered, including quotas for the export of petroleum products, etc.
AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline brands have updated several records in recent days. In particular, on July 20, their value on the stock exchange exceeded 63,000 rubles/t and 69,000 rubles/t. respectively.
