Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that the authorities do not yet see the need to take prompt action in the fuel market and do not intend to introduce a ban on the export of jet fuel. Earlier, it was reported that government officials discussed this measure Interfax.
“We believe that there is no need to make any drastic decisions at this time. We are considering all possible measures,” Mr. Novak told reporters (quoted by TASS).
According to Alexander Novak, the government is studying the possibility of lifting the partial ban on fuel exports, including in case of overproduction, but so far no such decisions have been made. “We look at it every time at headquarters. If conditions arise for further liberalization, when there is nowhere to put the additional volumes produced, then such decisions can be made,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
