Some clients of Norilsk Nickel (MOEX: GMKN), who had previously refused to cooperate, returned to negotiations on purchasing metal from the company. Contracts for 2024 are being discussed, said Mikhail Borovikov, director of the company’s department for work with the investment community.

“The situation is becoming less confrontational and tough,” Mr. Borovikov said at the Aton webinar (quoted by Interfax).

Mikhail Borovikov also noted that the company managed to change the trend of increasing working capital, formed in 2022 due to an increase in supply chains and an increase in finished products. Mr. Borovikov predicts changes in the metal market from destocking (reducing inventory levels) to restocking next year.

On October 25, Norilsk Nickel launched a sulfur project designed to reduce the amount of harmful emissions at its production facilities.
