The developer of game consoles and video games, Nintendo, said that it is considering the Russian company Achivka, whose CEO is the CEO of Nintendo Ru Yasha Haddazhi, as a warranty service partner for goods already sold in Russia. “We will continue to explore ways to meet existing obligations to consumers in the Russian market. In this regard, and following the principles of transparency, we are conducting extensive discussions with potential service providers for the repair and warranty service of Nintendo products already sold on the Russian market. OOO Achivka is one such potential supplier,” Nintendo said. At the same time, the company noted that it is not associated with firms engaged in parallel imports of its goods, and “is not involved in parallel import activities.”
Nintendo maintains a “minimal presence in Russia to complete the winddown and to fulfill legal, contractual and administrative obligations,” the statement said. For the first time, the company directly announced that it was leaving the Russian Federation: before that, in its statements, it only announced the suspension of supplies and the operation of the Nintendo eShop digital store.
