Net profit of TCS Group in the first half of the year increased to 36.6 billion rubles

For the first half of 2023, the net profit of TCS Group (the holder of 100% of the shares of Tinkoff Bank) under IFRS amounted to 36.6 billion rubles. In the second quarter, it increased to 20.4 billion rubles, follows from reporting. Analysts predicted profit in the second quarter at the level of 16.4 billion rubles.

Group expenses in the first half of 2023 decreased by 26.3% to RUB 23.3 billion, and in the second quarter by 10.2% to RUB 11 billion. Operating expenses in the second quarter amounted to 29.5 billion rubles, operating income – 1 billion rubles.

Net interest income as of June 30 exceeded RUB 100 billion. against 66.3 billion rubles. for the same period last year. The group’s assets amounted to 1.75 trillion rubles, having increased by 9% over the first half of the year.

At the beginning of 2023, it became known that TCS Group increased the number of personnel by 1.5 times, up to 65 thousand people. The group attributed this to the expansion of the client base and the development of new business lines, as well as the support of the IT infrastructure. In February 2023, Tinkoff Bank came under EU sanctions.
