The manufacturer of coffee machines and coffee capsules Nespresso will close branded stores in Russia. The fact that the company intends to close mono-brand boutiques in Russia was told to Vedomosti by three consultants who worked with it. One of the partners of the brand also knows about this. Now the company is negotiating with the owners of the premises on the conditions for withdrawing from lease agreements, Anna Savenko, a retail real estate consultant, knows. The head of the CORE.XP retail department, Marina Malakhatko, also speaks about this. The flagship two-story Nespresso store on Bolshaya Dmitrovka has already closed, adds another consultant. A request to the company went unanswered.
Nespresso is owned by the Swiss corporation Nestle and produces capsule automatic coffee machines for the home and coffee capsules. In March, after the start of the CBO, Nestle announced a halt to investments in the Russian market, and then to the cessation of the supply of any product, with the exception of essential goods (such as baby food, cereals, specialized nutrition and medicinal pet food). In particular, shipments of coffee machines and capsules under the Nespresso brand were stopped, the work of branded boutiques, applications and websites was stopped. According to Savenko, there are no alternatives to Nespresso boutiques on the Russian market.
