FSUE NAMI is negotiating with several companies to expand the Aurus brand line with luxury yachts, General Director of the enterprise Fedor Nazarov said. According to him, the United Shipbuilding Corporation, in particular, takes part in the negotiations.
Fedor Nazarov noted that it is too early to talk about possible dates for the appearance of luxury passenger ships. “We are still negotiating. After negotiations, the creation will take several more years,” he said at the international industrial exhibition “Innoprom” in Tashkent (quote from TASS).
In December 2022, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, announced Aurus’ plans to start producing clothing, yachts, and climate control equipment. Later, director of the FSUE NAMI operational marketing center Damir Karimov toldthat under the Aurus brand can produce furniture, interior items and perfume. Aurus also plans produce electric cars and business jets SSJ Aurus.
The Russian luxury car brand Aurus was launched in 2013 by order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The project is being implemented by FSUE NAMI with the assistance of the Sollers group and foreign partners. Investments from the state in its creation amounted to 12.4 billion rubles.
