MTS singled out the tower business into a separate legal entity

One of the largest Russian operators MTS transferred the tower business to a separate legal entity – Tower Infrastructure Company LLC (BIC). Alexander Teremetsky, ex-head of MegaFon’s subsidiary, First Tower Company, has been appointed CEO.
Information about the reorganization is in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. The press service of MTS confirmed the changes TASS. Plans to spin off the tower business have been previously reported.
MTS planned to sell the tower company at the beginning of 2022, but the process slowed down in the spring. In total, the operator has 23 thousand towers, they were estimated at 100 billion rubles. The company told Kommersant in the summer that they “continue to consider various scenarios, see interest in the asset and communicate with potential investors.”
