MTS revenue in the Russian market for the third quarter of 2022 increased by 0.7%, to 135.8 billion rubles. OIBDA reached RUB 59.7 billion, down 0.5% year-on-year. Net profit of MTS in Russia for the third quarter decreased by 24.6% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 11.9 billion rubles.
MTS’ revenue from communication services in the Russian market reached 110.3 billion rubles, which is 2.1% more than a year earlier. MTS’s revenues from the sale of phones on the B2C market decreased by 47.2% compared to the third quarter of last year and amounted to 8.4 billion rubles. Revenue from financial services in the third quarter grew by 47.9% year-on-year and reached RUB 18.7 billion. Capital expenditures of the MTS group in the third quarter amounted to 15.5 billion rubles, which is 53.1% less than a year earlier. The company explained the reduction in capital expenditures by introducing restrictions on the purchase of equipment in 2022. At the end of the third quarter, the number of MTS stores amounted to 5.4 thousand, which is 1.9% less than a year earlier. The number of MTS mobile subscribers in Russia at the end of September amounted to 80.2 million subscribers. A year earlier, the operator had 79.7 million subscribers.
