Motor fuel on the exchange began to become cheaper

Exchange prices for liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LHG; mixture of propane and butane) used as motor fuel have decreased by more than 20% since the beginning of June 2023. This follows from the trading data at the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange (SPIMEX). Wholesale prices for gasoline, after reaching historical highs, began to decline at the end of June, but the reduction in quotations is still minimal.
On June 27, a ton of LPG in the Urals and Siberia (the most liquid exchange index) cost 16,548 rubles. – 23.4% cheaper than June 1st. The price for this type of fuel on the exchange has been declining since mid-May, when it reached its maximum level of 24,845 rubles per ton this year. Since then, quotes have fallen by 33.4%. In the European part of the country, the commodity has fallen in price by 12.3% since the beginning of June and by 24% since mid-May, to 22,382 rubles per ton.
