Moscow Michelin restaurants will not be able to confirm the status in 2023

Following the suspension of the Michelin gastronomy guide in Russia, Russian restaurants that have received Michelin awards will not be able to confirm their status in 2023. As told RBC guide representative, restaurants may mention Michelin stars, but only with the year of receipt of the award and the city where it was received.
In October 2021, Michelin for the first time compiled a gastronomic rating of the best restaurants in the capital called “Moscow 2022”. It included 69 restaurants: seven of them were awarded one Michelin star (Selfie, Beluga, Grand Cru, White Rabbit, Biologie, Sakhalin and Savva), two more restaurants were awarded two stars (Artest-Chef`s Table and Twins Garden).
In March 2022 the Michelin guide announced on the suspension of all projects in Russia due to the military operation in Ukraine. As Michelin noted, the decision does not call into question the talent of chefs and restaurant employees.
