Fee and commission income on the stock market grew by almost 3.5 times, to RUB 1.6 billion. Trading volumes increased by 111.4% against the backdrop of an increase in the turnover of securities. Over 2.6 million customers made transactions every month during the quarter. Fee and commission income on the derivatives market grew 2.6 times with an increase in volumes by 18.1%. The structure of trading volume shifted towards commodity futures, as well as stock futures.
According to Gleb Shevelenkov, director of the debt market department of the Moscow Exchange, over the past 12 months, the net inflow of funds from individual investors in bonds has reached RUB 695 billion (includes net inflows to both the primary and secondary bond markets). Net inflow into shares for the same period amounted to 77 billion rubles. The share of individual investors in the bond market (primary and secondary) is less than in the stock market – 18% versus 80%.
