Moscow exchange plans to resume evening trading on the stock market in September

The Moscow Exchange plans to launch evening trading on the stock market in September. Director of the Equity Market Department Boris Blokhin noted that the participants support the initiative. The most liquid instruments will be traded, first of all, shares from the Moscow Exchange index.
“In the stock market, we plan to resume trading during the evening trading session in the near future. We are already trading the derivatives market in the evening, we see that this experience is quite positive – the participants support the initiative to return the evening trading session, ”Mr. Blokhin told reporters (quoted from “Interfax”).
Evening trading on the stock market was launched on the Moscow Exchange in June 2020. Against the background of the military operation in Ukraine at the end of February, the Central Bank canceled trading on the stock market. They were resumed without the evening session. Evening trading on the derivatives market have been renewed in July.
