Moscow exchange became the first organization in the register of CFA exchange operators

The Bank of Russia included the Moscow Exchange in the register of operators for the exchange of digital financial assets (DFA), which became the first organization to replenish the register, reported press office regulator.
DFA is a blockchain-based tool. Allows you to exercise digital rights on monetary claims, equity securities and participation in the capital of a non-public joint-stock company. All transactions are carried out through CFA exchange operators. The CFA Law came into force in January 2021.
Getting into the registry gives the organization the right to exchange DFA. “Exchange operators, ensuring the conclusion of transactions with the CFA by collecting and comparing multidirectional applications, can interact with several operators of information systems in which digital rights are issued. This increases the investment attractiveness and liquidity of the financial product,” the Central Bank explained.
In addition to the register of the DFA exchange operator, there is also a register of information system operators that can issue DFA. The Bank of Russia has already included Atomize, Lighthouse, Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, Distributed Registry Systems, Tokens, Eurofinance Mosnarbank and SPB Exchange in the second list.
The development of the DFA market is still constrained by many factors, primarily the weak interest of investors, regulatory and tax restrictions. Some of them can be removed with the entry into the market of stock exchanges as CFA exchange operators.
