Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports lifted restrictions on work, aviation services reported TASS. At night, airports did not receive or send planes for some time amid reports of a drone attack. At least 17 flights were delayed, 5 were canceled, according to Yandex.Schedule data.
Air defense systems shot down a drone in the Istra district of the Moscow region, reported Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. According to preliminary information, no one was hurt, there was no damage.
Moscow has been regularly attacked by drones in recent weeks. On the night of August 23, two UAVs were shot down in the Mozhaisk and Khimki districts, the third crashed into a tower under construction in Moscow City.
