The National Payment Card System (NSCP) told Kommersant that the Mir Pay and SBPay services remain available for download in RuStore and AppGallery stores. Previously Samsung Pay announced about the cessation of work with Mir cards, and the Mir Pay application disappeared from Google Play.
“Applications already installed on smartphones with Android OS continue to work,” NSPK clarified to Kommersant.
The clearing center also confirmed that Mir cards will no longer be available for addition and use in Samsung Pay from April 3 due to the termination of the partnership.
NSPK is the operator of the Mir payment system. In February 2024, the United States imposed sanctions against it.
