Cards of the Russian payment system “Mir” began to be accepted at the terminals of trade and service enterprises in Venezuela. This was reported “RIA News” in the press service of the system.
“Mir payment system cards have begun to be accepted at POS-terminals of trade and service enterprises in Venezuela. Work on expanding the network for accepting Russian cards in bank devices in this country continues,” the agency was told.
Mir cards are also accepted by partner banks in Abkhazia, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and South Ossetia. Indonesia, Myanmar, Egypt, Thailand, India, Mauritius, Nigeria and Ethiopia expressed their interest in using Mir cards.
In May Russia and Iran reached bilateral agreements required for the use of cards of the Russian payment system “Mir”. Its adaptation to the payment system of Iran discussed from August 2022.
